This is the original Walled Garden to Hutton Wandesley Hall and Hutton Hall. The Walled Garden has served many purposes over the years, originally it would have been a working kitchen garden servicing the main house with twelve full time gardeners! In the 1990’s it was a Nursery garden supplying plants to local garden centres and latterly a grazing paddock for horses.
It was always a dream to redesign the Walled Garden and return it back to a beautifully landscaped area.
Available to Hire
The garden has been designed by Sasha York. The Hutton Wandesley team have painstakingly relandscaped the area creating a tranquil, stunning setting for all to enjoy. If you stay at the Stables, the Walled Garden is there for you to enjoy. The Walled Garden is also available to hire for private events, luncheons, dinner, drinks parties and weddings.
There are many areas within the garden to host an event; the Old Glasshouse Barn which can seat 60 for dinner with a log burner to keep you warm on chillier evenings. The Grand Manor Hartley Botanic Greenhouse, the perfect spot for a smaller dinner or drinks. A central Arbour adorned with scented roses, clematis and honeysuckle, the perfect place to hold your wedding ceremony surrounded by family and friends seated on each avenue.

A Quadrant Garden Design
The Cutting Garden which is planted with David Austin Roses, Dahlias and Annuals. The Stables is filled with flowers from the garden. The final quarter is laid to lawn to host a Marquee for your wedding, private party or to enjoy sunnier days.
Available To Hire
The Walled Garden is available to hire for private parties, garden parties, lunches and dinners. The Garden will be open to visit during 2023, please get in touch if you would like to organise a private tour of the gardens.
